Biography: Frank Mahovlich, often referred to as the "Big M," is a Canadian ice hockey player and politician. He played NHL during the 1960s and early 1970s, primarily with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and later with the Detroit Red Wings and the Montreal Canadiens.

During his time with the Maple Leafs, contributed to multiple Stanley Cup victories in the 1960s. His success followed him to the Canadiens, where he also took the Stanley Cup. In total, Mahovlich won six Stanley Cup championships during his NHL career.

After retiring from professional hockey, Frank Mahovlich transitioned into politics. He was appointed to the Canadian Senate in 1998 by Prime Minister Jean Chrétien and served as a senator until his retirement in 2013.
