Biography: Evander Holyfield is an American boxer who began his career in the sport at the age of 12 and quickly rose through the amateur ranks.

In 1984, Holyfield won a bronze medal at the Summer Olympics and then turned professional, rapidly making a name for himself. Within just four years, he became the undisputed cruiserweight champion, a feat he followed by moving up to the heavyweight division in 1990, where he won the undisputed heavyweight championship.

His time as a professional saw him engage in legendary bouts with other prominent fighters such as Mike Tyson, George Foreman, and Lennox Lewis. His two victories over Tyson, including their famous 1997 rematch with the ear-biting incident, became some of the most talked-about moments in the sport's history.

Throughout his career, Holyfield faced various setbacks, including losing titles and health challenges, but his resilience led to multiple comebacks, and he became a four-time heavyweight champion.
