Biography: Andre Dawson, also known as "The Hawk" and "Awesome Dawson," is an American baseball player. He had a 21-year career in Major League Baseball, during which time he played mostly for the Montreal Expos (1976-1986) and the Chicago Cubs (1987-1992).

Dawson was the league's Rookie of the Year in 1977, won eight Gold Glove Awards, was an 8-time All-Star, and won the Most Valuable Player Award in 1987. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2010.
